A new machine arrived. I hope the lapmaster was a smart investment, and returns some of my time back to me, and to the family. To my mind's eye I had envisioned a "bench top" machine, and was greatly surprised when it arrived in a large 700 lbs box on Tuesday. Shop improvements are underway, to make room for it. For those curious what I was working on, before the machine's arrival? Making a batch of fixed blades using CPM 154 stainless steel, and designing a smaller folder in Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software. It is very exciting just thinking about the potential of the lapping machine; already my imagination is filled with new ideas as the itch to return to the linerlocks grows. There is never enough time, as a one man show. I hope to finish the fixed blades and have them on the online store sometime in May.
