I just learned of Gillian Salt N Pepper bearings a few weeks ago. I am a big fan of making little tweaks and upgrades to my knives, especially low-cost upgrades that can improve a knife's function. Bearings are exactly that. Big fan of the other big-name brand out there and use them in most of my knives. I did have one knife, an American Blade Work Model 1, that had a little bit of a rough action regardless of a cleaning, lubing, pivot adjustment, and bearing upgrade. In all reality, it was fine as it was, but my OCD wanted better. Decided to give these Salt N Pepper bearings a try and I gotta admit I saw and felt an improvement. Action is not rough anymore and I can actually get it to drop shut without having to shake it hard or multiple times. I am impressed and will be considering Gillian's bearings in the future without a doubt.

Worth the investment, Gained better Blade Stability, I was able to securely tighten down the pivot down on my Xm-18 and still get great action. In time the action gets even better, I have another xm-18 with ?? Bearings that been in there for about 2 years and the action is freaking amazing!

These were perfect for my large Curtiss F3. I also ordered some skiffs and have to say that these way outperformed the skiffs and made for a much smoother and free action. I also have a set on a Hinderer 3.5” Eklipse Bowie and it probably has the most satisfyingly smooth action on any of my knives. Gillian makes the best bearings on the market!

These are very fast bearings, makes the knife drop shut or hydraulic depending on your pivot tightness. I would highly recommend these over skiff or taco!

I was thrilled to get the knife in Magnacut and very happy to put these bearings in it from almost the beginning of the break-in period. Its breaking in very nicely.

These are quality bearings. Hand made with premium materials. Shipping was fast and Mr Gillian was helpful with communicating the details of my order.

I installed these on my Hinderer 3.5” Eklipse Bowie and they took the action from good to great! They are super easy to install and you can see and feel the quality right away. I added a touch of nano oil and this knife is now drop shut perfection! As with all new bearings/folding knives I would spend a little time opening and closing to get them broken in.
